Amina Rahman has always been an artist. From the time she could hold a paint brush, she has been painting. Growing up mixed with African American and Indian heritage along with her deeply rooted Muslim identity, Amina has always been interested in us using art to express herself and her viewpoint.

Amina’s art is profoundly inspired by the rich traditions of Islam and her unique personal experiences, allowing her to create pieces that resonate on multiple levels. Each artwork reflects her deep connection to her faith, as well as the intricate beauty she perceives in everyday life. Being mixed race, she loves exploring different cultures especially cultures from the Muslim world. She takes traditional elements such as Arabic calligraphy and merges them with abstracted visual narratives to create unique pieces that speak to the soul.
